Law with the Urgency and Care of a Nurse

Mila Narducci walked a career path as a registered nurse before pivoting to the law and becoming an attorney. She’s lived through the 2:00 AM crises, the stage III cancer battles, and the weight of caregiving, and she knows the caregivers of today are juggling their own family responsibilities and their aging parents.

Mila doesn’t just draft documents – she builds lifelines.

Florida Elder Law FAQ

Not necessarily. If you pass away with assets in your name alone, your family must go through probate to move the assets to their names. Ask Mila how this can be avoided.

Technically called an Enhanced Life Estate Deed, it’s a special deed that acts as a beneficiary designation for your house. The house transfers to your heirs automatically when you pass away.

To sign a Durable Power of Attorney (DPOA), the person must have capacity and know what they’re signing. But in Florida, someone with early dementia can typically sign during a lucid moment. Ask Mila for more info.

Not necessarily. Florida allows a single person to keep $2,000 in assets, but exempt assets like a home of up to $752,000 in equity and one car don’t count.

Not if you set up a Qualified Income Trust (QIT), also known as a Miller Trust, which allows the excess income to be deposited into the trust each month. Estate Plan First can help.
